The jury

ANNIE LEIBOVITZ

Renowned American photographer, famous for her portraits of celebrities, artists, musicians, political leaders, and sports legends. Her work has been published in books and magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone.

PABLO ORTIZ MONASTERIO

Mexican photographer and editor with a long international career. He is the founder of the photography magazine Luna Córnea and coordinator of bibliographic collections such as Río de luz and Círculo de arte.

CARLOS CUARÓN

Mexican screenwriter, producer and director who has won several international awards. As a screenwriter, he has been nominated for Oscars and BAFTAs and has won the Venice Film Festival. His successful debut as a director, Rudo y cursi (2008), shows the passion of two brothers for football.

ANA HOP

Mexican photographer specializing in portraiture. She contributes to publications such as Monocle, Vogue, among others. She is the author of the book
ATC 1963.

Anyone of legal age, from any country in the world.

One to three photos, either as individual images or as part of a series. They can be in black and white or color.

The central theme must be football and all elements that reflect the excitement of this sport.

Yes, as long as they meet the technical specifications: JPG format, file size between 5 and 10 MB, and resolution of 300 dpi.

No. Photographs must be original and taken by you. Editing allowed: You may use digital tools—including AI features—to refine your image and strengthen its narrative and aesthetics (e.g., cropping, exposure adjustments, color, contrast, sharpness, noise reduction, and light cleaning of imperfections), as long as the photograph retains its integrity and remains true to the original scene.

Keep your original files (RAW/negative and/or original JPG), as they may be requested for verification.

Yes. The images must be unpublished, original, and your own work. They cannot have been awarded prizes, publicly exhibited, or published in books, magazines, newspapers, or digital media.

No. Photographs must not have a signature, watermark, or any identifying mark.

First place: $6,000 USD + trip to the awards ceremony + exhibition. Second place (2 winners): $3,000 USD each + exhibition. Third place (3 winners): $2,000 USD each + exhibition.
